Structures
Year 1 & 2
Structures was a two-part course that allowed for the exploration design and physics to create different structures. Each project was given specific criteria to meet and then were load tested to test the stability of the design. The first project was to create a bridge. .
THE TOWER
The tower was the second part of this two part course. It was base loosely off of the absolute tower in Canada. This tower sought support structurally based off of distributing weight evenly around each plate, and the torque would be contoured by columns. After load testing it became evident that the torque should've been handled with tension members and not compression ones.

THE BRIDGE
Design wise the first iteration of the bridge was supposed to be a curved surface that would have a flat center in which people inhabited. The second iteration mafe the structural element of the bridge curved.
